We are pleased to welcome Dr Jens Lipka to PharmaKorell as Senior Consultant at our Munich office.
Jens brings with him extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in quality assurance and manufacturing. After several years working as a pharmacist in Munich, he took on his first leadership role in manufacturing at Fresenius Kabi.
He then joined STADAPHARM GmbH, where he served as Deputy Head of QA & QC and later as Head of Quality Systems & Compliance and Qualified Person. Before joining PharmaKorell, he was Head of Quality Systems at Takeda in Germany.
Jens also has a strong academic background. He is a licensed pharmacist and holds a PhD in pharmaceutical technology from Philipps-University Marburg. To get to know him a little better, we asked Jens a few questions in a short interview:
What are the top three highlights of your career so far?
The key milestones in my career include earning my PhD in Natural Sciences, being appointed as a Qualified Person under the German Medicines Act (AMG) along with taking on a leadership role in quality assurance, and my current position as Senior Consultant at PharmaKorell.
What’s the best advice or life lesson you’ve ever received, and how does it influence your work?
“It’s always worth looking beyond your own horizon” – both professionally and personally, this has proven to be great advice. Understanding more than just your own area allows you to better grasp the bigger picture and make more informed decisions. In team settings, this perspective also helps in understanding the needs and approaches of others, leading to more constructive and effective collaboration.
How were your first weeks at PharmaKorell, and what are you most looking forward to in your new role?
My first weeks at PharmaKorell have been very positive. I received a warm welcome and everything was well prepared for my arrival. The team is very collegial, and I’ve already started contributing to some projects. I’m particularly looking forward to applying my knowledge and expertise to upcoming assignments and seeing them through to successful completion.
